Learn How to Breathe: Back Breathing & Breath Teaching
Back-Breathing
This is how we were meant to breathe, free and easy! Back-breathing deepens our breathing, releases stress and chronic back tension, and frees up the spine, increasing flexibility. It increases our energy and supports health. The spine is nourished, too, as this breathing increases the flow of nutrients to spinal structures. And individuals prone to back muscle spasms caused by stress can oftentimes prevent debilitating episodes if they back-breathe at the first sign of spasm.
Back-breathing also increases self-awareness, supporting better self-care. It helps us integrate the emotional and physical bumps of everyday living so we can be more present and ready for our next step. It also helps release old trauma held in the body. Back-breathing connects us more deeply to our essence and can be used as a high spiritual practice. It is a doorway to our Self that knows only wholeness. These are the many reasons to learn and practice back-breathing. It is taught through experiential exercises.
